Nintendo is working on a minor upgrade for the original Switch

Still, it is good to listen to that Nintendo is working on higher Switch {hardware}. The original console, in spite of everything, runs on the Nivida’s now barely dated Tegra X1 processor. The newly-announced Switch Lite, in the meantime, has a “extra power-efficient chip structure,” according to The Verge, which provides barely higher battery life. It would most likely make sense — each from a efficiency and manufacturing perspective — to have the two consoles operating on similar processors. We’re hoping the new innards make the bigger Switch a little cooler (we’re speaking thermals, not fashion), snappier, and fewer of a battery hog. For now, although, we will merely speculate.
